Description

Heath Cottage and Heath House are a house with a cottage attached, dating from the mid-18th century with an early 19th-century addition. The house is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings, featuring raised quoins, a plinth, and continuous plain bands linking the lintels to Heath House. Both buildings have steeply pitched slate roofs with stone ridges, a central stone ridge stack on Heath House, and a west gable end stack and ridge stack on Heath Cottage. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers are present.

Heath House has three bays, and Heath Cottage has two bays. Heath House features an off-centre moulded doorcase with rounded top corners, a projecting keystone, and an entablature, now with 20th-century double-glazed doors. To either side of the doorcase are raised 3-light square section mullion windows, with a lintel band. Above the doorcase, to the east is a similar window, and to the west are two similar 2-light windows. Heath Cottage has a central flush doorcase with a 20th-century glazed door, and 2-light flush mullion windows on either side, with similar windows above. All windows are 20th-century small-pane casements.
