Description

A pair of cottages, formerly part of a terrace of four, dating from the mid to late 19th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed and squared rubble with ashlar dressings, and have a slate roof with coped verges. They feature ashlar stacks at the centre and ends. The building is two storeys high with five windows. The windows are mostly glazing bar casements, with the exception of a glazing bar sash window with horns on the ground floor, second from the left. Ground floor windows have straight dripstones. Segmentally headed, half-glazed doors are located to the left of centre and right; the door to the left of the centre is now blocked, and the door to the right contains a window. The cottages were previously listed as ‘The Square and Ivy Cottage’.
