Description

The Coachman's House, located to the rear of the Crewe and Harpur Arms, is an early 19th-century building. It is constructed from coursed stone with block dressings and features a graded stone slate roof, complete with verge parapets and an end stack on the left side. The house is two stories high and has a two-window front, which includes glazing bar sashes. There are boarded doors on both the ground and first floors, with a hood over the larger central ground floor door. Stone steps lead up to the first floor door on the right side of the building. This structure is included for its group value with the nearby Crewe and Harpur Arms.
