Description
This is a farm outbuilding located to the south of Chapelsteads Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and features a stone slated roof. The building has two storeys and consists of eight bays, with seven doorways of varying sizes on the west elevation, all framed in massive stone. One of the doorways has been blocked and converted into a window opening. There is also a stone framed opening on the first floor for an overloft. Additionally, the south gable apex includes dovecote openings with perches. This outbuilding is listed for its group value with the farmhouse.
