Description
The barn attached to the left of Withinlow Farmhouse dates from the late 17th century and is constructed from coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. It features a Kerridge stone-slate roof with a stone ridge and has an L-shaped plan. There is a slight plinth, and all openings are topped with heavy wooden lintels that have projecting stones or rubble bands above them for added protection. Inside, the roof has trusses made of tiebeams and collars, along with overlapping through purlins and a ridge. A 20th-century addition to the left is not included in this listing.
