Description
West Bank Cottage and the attached implement shed is a house and shed built in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of narrow coursed limestone with chisel-draughted dressings and has a blue machine tile roof. The cottage features a two-storey, three-window front with glazing bar sashes, although there is only one sash on the ground floor, located to the left. The central entrance has a pilastered doorcase with impost mouldings, a segmental voussoir head, and a shallow open pediment hood. Above the door, there is a pierced quatrefoil frieze over a four-panelled door. The implement shed, which is one bay to the right, has a large door on the ground floor and a hay loft on the first floor. Additionally, there is a corbelled stack base on the left gable.
