Description
Cosy Cottage and the adjoining cottage are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They are built from rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and feature Welsh slate roofs with stone ridges and gable end stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have an L-plan layout.
The south elevation consists of four bays and includes an off-centre doorway that has a 20th-century bracketed wooden hood and a half-glazed door. To the right of the doorway is a 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion window, while to the left is a similar 3-light window and a late 19th-century single bar sash window with a stone lintel. On the first floor, there are, from right to left, a 2-light window, a single light window, and two 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows.
The east elevation of the south wing features a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window on each floor, along with three additional windows.
