Description

Rest Cottage is a house that is part of a range of three dwellings, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and features a clay tile roof with coped verges on kneelers. There is a rough faced ashlar end stack on the right side. The building is two storeys high and has two windows with 16 pane glazing bar sashes. To the left, there is a six-panelled door with a moulded architrave and hood, along with an oblong fanlight above. The cottage also has a moulded eaves course. It forms a group with Sunnyside, Riverdales, and The Hermitage.
