Description

The headstone of Katharin, dating from the mid-18th century, is located approximately 10 yards south of the Church of St. Cuthbert in Elsdon. It is a small sandstone tablet featuring a triangular top and a worn inscription. The rear of the headstone displays a large high-relief carving of Adam and Eve alongside the apple tree.
