Description

The Pinfold is a stray animal pound located in Elsdon, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble and has a round shape with a diameter of approximately 40 feet. The walls stand about 7 feet high and feature large, rough coping stones. There is a doorway on the north side, which is topped with a large stone lintel.
