Description
East Stonefields Farmhouse, along with its attached farm buildings and walls, dates from the mid-18th century and was rebuilt in the early 19th century. The structures are built from coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings and feature Welsh slate roofs, which have two stone gable stacks. The farmhouse is two stories high and has a three-window front. It includes a central doorway with a half-glazed 20th-century door, flanked by single two-light sliding sash windows, and above are three similar sash windows.
The attached garden wall has a curved coping and a central wooden gate. The rear of the farmhouse has irregular window placements and a single-story lean-to. To the left of the farmhouse is a stable with a loft above, featuring a single plank door and a small fixed light to the left, along with a central loft opening that has a plank door. Next to the stable is a large hay barn, which has an open front to the crewyard supported by circular cast-iron columns on square stone bases. The rear of the hay barn includes an off-center cart entrance and a single-story lean-to to the left. In front of the hay barn is a long narrow crewyard with side walls and single-story cowhouses to the southeast, which have two doorways on the southeast front.
