Description
The farm buildings attached to the rear of Otterburn Hall Farmhouse date from the late 19th century. They are constructed of brick in Flemish bond and feature a Welsh slate roof with stone slate edging. The buildings consist of two ranges positioned at right angles to each other.
The left range is L-shaped, with a short projecting wing on the left that includes a boarded door and a 6-pane casement window. The main wing is single storey and has five bays. Bays two and five contain tall round-headed boarded double doors set beneath gables, while the other bays feature 3-light mullioned windows.
The right range was originally built as cartsheds, characterized by square piers and wooden lintels supported by triangular brackets. The original openings were bricked up shortly after construction, and the range now has a boarded door and two 6-pane casement windows.
These farm buildings contribute to an interesting planned farm group alongside the farmhouse.
