Description

The Biddlestones, located approximately 250 yards southeast of Biddlestone Chapel, consist of two stones of unknown origin. They are made of sandstone, with one stone being uncut and the other a medieval cross base measuring about 30 inches by 24 inches and standing 20 inches high. The cross base features a deep oblong socket measuring 9 inches by 12 inches. It is possibly the base for the village cross of the now-vanished village of Biddlesden.
