Description
The conservatory located to the southwest of Jays House is a late 19th-century structure. It is built from red brick, wood, and glass. The glasshouse measures about 5 meters in length and features half-octagonal ends. The base consists of a red brick plinth with a chamfered top. The wood superstructure is entirely glazed, with engraved glass panels forming the lowest section above the plinth, followed by a large plain section beneath a stained glass frieze. The roof is hip-ended with a raised center and ball finials along the ridge. This conservatory is included in the listing for its group value.
