Description
The Jolly Sailor Inn is a farmhouse and inn dating from the mid to late 18th century, possibly raised by one storey around 1800. It features a mid to late 20th century porch. The building is constructed of dressed sandstone and has a Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings, moulded kneelers, and end stacks. The rear wing and extension have clay pantiles. The inn is two storeys high and has three windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with an overlight and a gabled porch that matches the building's style. The windows are sash with glazing bars, and there is a mid-20th century casement window with glazing bars inserted above the doorway. At the rear, there is a two-storey gabled wing with a pent extension to the north, designed in a similar style. The later extensions to the right and left are not of interest.
