Description
Inthorpe is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of herringbone-tooled coursed sandstone. It features a purple slate roof with stone ridges, copings, kneelers, and stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a boarded door with a three-pane overlight above it. There is a 12-pane sash window above the door, and 16-pane sash windows in the side bays on both floors, all equipped with flush lintels and projecting cills. The house has rusticated quoins and prominent shaped kneelers and chimneys. Short side walls extend forward from the house, and the front wall slopes down near the outer ends. It has chamfered copings and a pair of corniced monolith piers in the centre, with a 20th-century wooden and iron gate.
