Description
Lowdale Hall is a small country house built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from hammered sandstone, featuring sandstone ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof. The building has a central-entry plan and is two stories high with a three-window front. A 20th-century glazed door is located beneath a prostyle Tuscan porch, which is flanked by full-height windows and accessed by two steps. The windows are 20th-century small-pane replacements set in architraves with floating cornices. There is a raised band on the first floor and at the eaves, along with raised quoins. The hipped roof includes roof lights and corner volutes, and end stacks rise from the base of the roof. The interior has not been inspected.
