Description
Rosedale Cottage is a pair of cottages located in a row of four on the south-west side of Eskdaleside-cum-Ugglebarnby, dating from the early 19th century. The front is made of hammered sandstone, while the sides are dressed sandstone, topped with a pantile roof. The building is 1½ stories tall with a two-window front. It features six-panel doors, which are partly glazed, positioned to the left and right of two 16-pane sash windows. Above these, there are raking half dormers with 2-light, 8-pane horizontal sliding sashes. All windows have painted stone sills, and the ground floor openings are topped with hammered lintels. The left gable is coped with a plain kneeler, and there is a central stack. The rest of the terrace has been altered and is not of special interest.
