Description
The Prudom headstone and another stone are located 0.5 metres south of St. Hilda's church tower in Danby Dale. These two headstones, positioned side by side, date from 1775 and 177?. Each features a shaped top adorned with three primitive angels, whose wings resemble broad ruffled collars. The headstones are bordered with symbols of mortality that frame the inscribed central panels. The left panel commemorates Thomas Prudom, who died in 1775, while the inscription on the right is indecipherable but closely resembles the left.
