GV II

Group of farm outbuildings. Late C18/early C19. Built around 4 sides of central, covered fold-yard. Barn (E. side) of chevron-dressed sandstone; clay pantile roof; stone ridge and gable coping. Altered north gable. 2 storeys, but floor removed from interior, and now used as workshop. Former stables, byre and loose boxes (now Kennels) to N., S. and W. sides of yard. Of random rubble sandstone (chevron-dressed sandstone to S. wall). Hipped and gabled clay pantile roofs; stone ridge and gable copings. Single storey. Listing includes former horse gin adjoining E. side of barn. Early C19. Dressed sandstone piers and ½ walling; hipped clay pantile roof; stone ridge copings. Hexagonal plan. Retains original roof structure. Other farm outbuildings to E. and N. of barn, are not of interest. Included partly for group considerations.
