Description
Head House is a house built in the late 18th century, with height added in the first half of the 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed sandstone featuring some herringbone tooling and has a pantile roof. The house has a two-cell direct entry layout with outhouses on both the left and right sides. It stands two storeys tall and has two first-floor windows, while the outhouses are single storey. The main entrance has a board door, and the windows are casements with chamfered stone sills and lintels throughout. The left outhouse contains a board door and an unglazed window, while the right outhouse has a single door opening. The roof is swept with gable coping, square kneelers, and end stacks.
