Description
Oakridge Cottage is a cottage from the early to mid-19th century, built from herringbone-tooled coursed sandstone and topped with a pantiled roof that features store coping and a kneeler. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. The front is irregular, with the right bay canted to the left and the left bay projecting squarely. There is a boarded door located under a bracketed hood in a larger stone-filled opening, which may have once served as a cart entrance or shop window. To the left of the door is a 15-pane sash window framed in wood architrave with a projecting cill, and a similar sash window is located on the first floor of the canted bay, both featuring tooled-and-margined lintels. The left bay is mostly blank, except for some inserted vents. The cottage is included for its group value.
