Description

Avery Cottage, formerly listed as Avery, is a mid-19th century cottage located behind No 1 Chapel Street in Robin Hood's Bay. The building is constructed from herringbone-tooled and margined sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has one narrow bay. The entrance consists of a four-panel door, and there is a small four-pane sash window positioned very high above the door. The right return gable is blank. This cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
