Description

This 18th-century sundial is located 8 meters south of the south front center of St Hilda's Preparatory School in Aislaby. It is made of stone and features a square plinth with an octagonal stepped base. The sundial is supported by an urn-shaped column that has a reeded design. The engraved round slab has a gadrooned border and an acanthus carved soffit. Currently, the slab is cracked, and the gnomon is missing.
