Description
Groves Hall is a house consisting of two sections built in the late 18th century and early 19th century, with later additions. The structure is made of coursed squared stone and features pantiled roofs with stone copings and curved kneelers, along with corniced stone stacks at the center and ends. The eaves are stepped.
The right section is two storeys with an attic and has three slightly irregular bays. It includes sash windows with glazing bars, except for two altered ground floor windows. The left section, which is the later addition, is also two storeys with an attic and has three bays. It features two-storey canted bays, each with three glazing-bar sashes on each floor, flanking a single similar window above a half-glazed door that has a 20th-century cornice hood supported by long, moulded brackets. Each section has two square-headed dormers. Additionally, the left wall has two 20th-century triangular bay windows. The main entrance is a half-glazed door located in the right wall.
