Description
Dale Town is a house built in the late 18th century, constructed from sandstone ashlar with a pantile roof. It features a central entrance and stands two storeys tall with three windows on the first floor. The building has quoins that display herringbone tooling. The entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight, situated within a 20th-century porch, and is flanked by unequal 12-pane sash windows. On the first floor, there are unequal 9-pane sash windows, all topped with tripartite stone lintels that have keyblocks. The gable has coping, shaped kneelers, and end stacks. Inside, the ground floor rooms showcase exposed stop-chamfered beams and joists, while the kitchen retains its original fireplace with a stone overmantel.
