Description
Hob Cross is a wayside cross and boundary stone located approximately 875 meters south of Tidkinhow Farmhouse. This structure dates from the late 18th century and is made of dressed limestone. It stands about 1.9 meters high and has a cross-section of 37 centimeters. The south face of the stone is inscribed with "R.C. HOB CROSS 1798". It is situated on a cairn and marks the boundary between Guisborough and Lockwood Civil Parishes.
