Description
Latchmoor House is a small country house built in 1911 and extended in 1936, designed in a matching style. The building features pebbledash brick and a thatch roof with brick stacks. It is two stories tall and was originally L-shaped but is now U-shaped. The house has a four-bay range facing the forest, a three-bay central range, and a five-bay added range facing the entrance courtyard.
The central range, which overlooks the garden, has a timber porch on a rubble stone plinth to the left of the center bay, covered by a large hipped roof and supported by a buttress. On the left side, there are four-light casements on both floors, and an outshot at the end with a three-light casement. In the center, there are three-light casements, and to the right, six-light casements. At the right end, there is a single casement under the end of a timber verandah, which likely serves as a sleeping area, running along the end bay of the range that overlooks the forest. All windows are leaded, and the roof is hipped with brick stacks on the ridges of the other ranges.
