Description

Tile Barn Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse that was extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof. The farmhouse is positioned with its end facing the road and has two storeys and an attic, originally with three bays, and with outshots and a wing extending to one side. The front, facing the farmyard, features a central hipped porch with a plank door. To either side of the porch are two-light segmental-head casement windows. On the first floor, there are two-light casements on the sides, one being a larger 19th-century replacement. A single segmental-head casement is positioned between them. A high-set 19th-century two-light gabled dormer with bargeboards is visible on the roof. The end stacks have been rebuilt in the 19th century.
