Description
Wayside is a pair of cottages built in the late 19th century and early 20th century. They are constructed from rendered cob and feature a thatched roof. The cottages are positioned end on to the main road and are 1½ storeys high with two bays, including an additional bay that forms the second cottage at the road end. The front of the building has the older part on the left-hand side, with a central cast-iron porch. Each side has a two-light casement window and a two-light eyebrow dormer. On the left side, there is a plank door, with one jamb formed by the end of the original cottage, and a two-light casement window beside it. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a stack on the left side of the original cottage.
