Description
A pair of cottages, now combined, was built in the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed of brick, with some blue headers used as decorative elements, and have a thatched roof. They are a one-and-a-half-story, two-bay pair. The right-hand cottage has a near-end 20th-century pent-roofed porch. Each bay of both cottages contains a segmental-headed casement window with a blue header course above, and a two-light casement within a wide eyebrow dormer. The left-hand cottage also features two-light segmental casement windows in the other window openings. The roof is half-hipped, and substantial ridge stacks are positioned between the bays of each cottage. The group value of these cottages stems from their representation of vernacular rural domestic architecture of the 18th century.
