Description
Grays Cottage is a pair of semi-detached cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of cob with a hipped thatched roof and features brick stacks. It is two stories high and has a four-window front with entrances located on the sides.
On the ground floor, there are four three-light casement windows, while the first floor has four two-light casements. The left side has a planked door set in a beaded case and a 20th-century casement window above. The right side also has a planked door and a 20th-century casement window on the first floor. At the rear, there are 20th-century single-storey extensions and casement windows on the first floor.
Inside, the cottage is said to feature planked doors on strap hinges, stop-chamfered beams with run-out stops, and open fireplaces with timber lintels set on brick jambs.
