Description
The Kings Head is a public house located in Redlynch, dating from around 1700, with an addition from around 1800 and a front that was heightened in the early 20th century. The building is constructed of Flemish bond brick, topped with a tiled roof and features brick stacks. It has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high with a two-window front. There are half-glazed doors on either side of the centre, along with three 3-light casements and one 2-light casement, all of which have segmental heads. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements. The left side of the building reveals an exposed timber frame at the gable, with one 2-light casement in the attic. The rear includes a two-storey extension from around 1800 with casements, as well as a single-storey addition from the 20th century. Inside, there is a blocked open fireplace featuring a chamfered lintel with run-out stops, and planked doors leading to the first floor.
