Description
Bartley Close is an 18th-century house, primarily from the early 19th century, with mid-19th century extensions. The building features walls made of painted brickwork in Flemish bond, a cement plinth, rubbed flat arches, and a deep parapet with coping. It has a moulded cornice and a moulded band above the frieze. The roof is slate and hipped at the rear. The symmetrical northwest front has been altered, with a projecting center that is two stories tall and has a window arrangement of 1.1.1. The windows are sashes set in reveals. There is a wide architrave with a simple moulded cornice surrounding a four-panelled door beneath a fanlight, flanked by side windows. The other alterations to the building are irregular in form and height. Inside, there is an 18th-century staircase.
