Description
James' Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with an 18th-century encasement and a 19th-century extension. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill on one end and a slate roof. The building is two stories high and has three bays, with a stack bay and a taller, wider bay added in the 19th century at one end. The front includes an added bay on the left-hand side and a stack bay to the left of the center of the older part, which has a painted gabled porch with a round-headed opening. The other bays contain three-light casements, while the right-hand end has a lean-to with the timber-frame revealed. The left-hand bay features two-light casements, and the roof is hipped to the right. There is a large stack over the stack bay, and the left-hand bay has a stack at the end.
