Description

Rose Cottage beside the Well House is a 19th-century hovel that has been converted into a studio and restored in 1979. The building is constructed of painted brick and cob, with a thatched roof. It is a one-and-a-half storey, two-bay structure. The front elevation features a plank door on the right-hand side and a two-light casement window on the left-hand side. Above these openings is a two-light eyebrow dormer window. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a stack located at the right-hand end. This building holds group value as a well-preserved example of vernacular architecture.
