Description
Dazel Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and a 20th-century addition that was restored in 1985. The building features a timber frame with brick infill and encasing, topped with a thatch roof. The addition is made of timber and glass on a brick base, with a corrugated iron roof. It is 1½ storeys high and has three bays, with a 19th-century lean-to on one end and another lean-to on the side facing the road. The roadside has a right-hand side 20th-century lean-to that is half-glazed, with a ledged door leading to the ground of the cottage, which remains intact and retains its 1, 2, and 3-light casement windows with small panes. To the left-hand side of the centre, there is a 2-light eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped with a central ridge stack, and the timber frame is visible on the ends and rear elevation.
