Description
The former bobbin mill, originally a flax mill, was built in 1786 and has since been converted into a house. It is constructed from stone rubble with some roughcast and features slate roofs. The building is located on the south side of a ravine, resulting in a one-storey height on the south side and four storeys on the north side. There is a one-storey gabled wing on the north side that includes a waterwheel at the gable end. Lean-to outshuts extend to the east, though they are partially obscured by trees.
The south gable end features an entrance and a small casement window, along with a projecting single pitch wing to the right, which has an end stack and a window with small-paned fixed glazing. The west elevation includes small-paned casements and an entrance to a low wing. The north gable end is roughcast and has small-paned pivoted casements for its windows. The gable end of the wing showcases a 9-meter diameter cast iron and wrought iron waterwheel. The east side also has some pivoted casements, along with a gable end stack and a stack in the roof slope. Inside, there is line shafting present in the wing.
