Description

Calgarth View, located in Troutbeck Bridge, is a building dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of lime-washed stone rubble and features a graded slate roof, along with two chimneys, one of which is round. The building stands two storeys tall and originally functioned as a single house. It has two doors, each with simple modern porches, but the door to No 2 has been added later. There are three small windows on each floor, all of which are new and have small panes. The gable end facing the road is buttressed. Calgarth View, along with Nos 13 to 17 (odd) and the Post Office, forms a group along the main Windermere-Ambleside Road.
