Description

The Priory is a detached house built in 1834 in the Victorian Gothic style. It is constructed of stone with a slate roof. A prominent square tower with pierced battlements and gargoyles is a key feature, along with a round angle turret. The top room of the tower has trefoil-headed windows on all four sides, overlooking the roof. Carved bands and bosses decorate the exterior. A large three-light pointed arched window is situated on the first floor, with stepped stair windows positioned below. Gables are present, and the house features octagonal stone chimneys. Pointed arched windows with cusped lights are consistent throughout. The Gothic porch mirrors the architectural style of the main building.
