Description

No. 1 High Street is a building from 1859, originally constructed as a private house. It features local dry stone walling made from slate, with quoins and a slate roof. The building has two storeys and dormers, and the gables are adorned with pierced ornamental bargeboards. Notable architectural elements include a two-storeyed wooden bay window, a door with Gothic glazing and Tuscan jambs, and a pointed arched Gothic window above the door, which has cusped tracery in two lights.
