Description
Hodge Close is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed of painted stone rubble with a slate roof and a slate left return wall. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. A large lean-to porch is open on the right side. The windows are casements, with the first-floor window in the first bay being very low and a fire window located at the right-hand end. The right return features a gable-end stack and a small window, along with casement windows that are likely later additions. At the rear, there is an outshut beneath a cat slide roof that slopes down nearly to ground level, which includes a low window and a fire window at the left-hand end. Inside, the property has chamfered beams and a fireplace bressummer, as well as a small recess next to an inserted fireplace.
