Description

The Lodge at the Hydro, built in 1834, is a Victorian building in Gothic style located on Helm Road in Bowness. It features roughcast walls with quoins and stands two storeys tall. The building has Gothic windows, an oriel on the west gable end, and a niche at the top of the gable. The front includes a central pointed arched doorway adorned with Gothic tracery and an open timber porch. On the ground floor, there are two triangular-headed sash windows, another sash window above the door, and two plain sash windows on the first floor. The roof is punctuated by two small dormers.
