Description
Stickle House Barn is a cruck-framed field barn, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a slate roof, situated on sloping ground to the south. The east elevation includes two entrances and blocked square ventilation holes, while the west elevation has a blocked large entrance and an end ventilation slot. The north gable end has a projecting base, and the south gable end features an owl hole. Inside, there are two full cruck trusses with stone bases, along with tie beams, collars, yokes, and cruck spurs, supported by through purlins. The south gable end wall also has an internal projecting base.
