Description
Hawes Farmhouse and outbuildings date from the mid to late 18th century. The farmhouse is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The southeast elevation has two storeys and four bays, with the fourth bay likely added later. The windows are sashed and include glazing bars. The entrance to the second bay has a plank door with an overlight above it. There is a gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack. The outbuildings extend to the right and have three entrances. The rear includes an outshut and a loft entrance to one of the outbuildings. Inside, there is an 18th-century fireplace with a corbelled lintel and a cast iron range.
