Description
Hesketh Hall is a house that features a panel above the door with the date 1594, which has been reused. The current building is likely a remodelling from the 19th century. It is constructed from rubble with slate-hung cladding on the front and north side, while the rear and south side are covered with slobbered render. The roof is made of graduated slate and there is a full-width gabled wing at the back. The house is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a part-glazed door flanked by sash windows on both floors. The dated panel includes a cable-mounted border and the initials R. H., along with a wheatsheaf design. There are rendered chimneys at each end. This site was once home to a mill.
