Description
Greenrigg Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date back to 1663, as indicated by an inscription above the former cross-passage entrance. The building features whitewashed rendered walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, with part of the barn repaired using Welsh slate. It is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with the barn located to the right under a common roof and a right-angled two-bay extension at the rear of the house, creating an overall L-shape.
The cross-passage entrance has a plank door set under a Tudor arch. There are three casement windows with 17th-century chamfered surrounds, along with one enlarged 19th-century sash window. The barn includes a blocked two-light stone-mullioned window above the cross-passage, a 20th-century opening on the ground floor, and a loft above to the right. The extension features sash windows in painted stone surrounds. Additional adjoining barns are not of interest.
