Description
The Rectory in Grasmere is an 18th-century building where Wordsworth lived from 1811 to 1813. It features a colour-washed roughcast exterior and a slate roof, rising to two storeys. The gabled porch has a round-arched opening leading to an inner door. On the ground floor, there are three 16-paned sash windows with added labels, while the upper floor has four 16-paned sashes. Each end of the building has a lower wing designed in the same style. For additional context, refer to the general group description under Grasmere.
