Description

The barn to the east of Barker Knott Farmhouse is likely from the 18th century and was probably originally a hayloft over a stable. It is currently used for general storage. The structure features slobbered rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof, along with a slated canopy over the stable entrance. To the right, there is a single-storey washhouse with a hipped roof and a small chimney, which is a 19th-century addition. Inside, the barn contains massive old timbers. This building is included in the listing partly for its group value.
