Description

The Yews is a large, sprawling building complex dating from 1834, primarily reflecting 17th and 18th century proportions. Originally a statesman's house, the south wing remains from that period, while converted farm buildings and modern additions have been added. The structure is built of colour-washed stone rubble and features hipped slate roofs. Although many windows have been modernized, the overall proportions of the building are preserved, and it is said to contain woodwork from the 17th and 18th centuries.
